Yes these adapters are compatible with the XL-H1, which is what I am using also. They will work great in SD mode, but do fairly well when shooting in HD also.

Sony VX 2000 Mini DV camcorder. I am the original owner and it has only been used for recording, never a deck. I have only used sony brand tapes and have never reused any tapes. The lens has never been exposed as there has always been a UV or polarizing filter on the lens.
