Warren Shultz December 4th, 2008, 02:23 PM Going to eBay Kevin Richard December 4th, 2008, 03:05 PM My ex-business partner is being a real jerk and though I FINALLY (almost one year later) got my tripod back it of course didn't have the skid plate with it. *rolleyes* So I'm looking to get the plate that goes on the camera and attaches to the 501 head. I'm attaching this to a DVX100a so that mounting screw thread would be needed... though I might could find one or have one machined if I needed and the plate was cheap. Please help me out if you have one laying around, like my ex-parnter apparently has now ;) Trevor Meeks December 4th, 2008, 03:20 PM Hey Kevin, I've got an extra one laying around. What's it worth to you? Shoot me an email (trevor [at] meeks digital [dot] com) and I'll be happy to help you out. Sorry about your jerk-o ex-partner! Tim Polster December 4th, 2008, 03:50 PM Still available Kevin Richard December 4th, 2008, 03:53 PM Appreciate it Trevor! That was incredibly fast! Yeah, the whole thing was pretty nasty with lots of lies involved and I was completely blind to the truth till many months later. He basically said he was going to quit the biz to concentrate on going back to school and teaching and didn't want it to affect our friendship. To which I said "we were friends fist and biz partners second... so NO problem" and I even said you can hold on to all my gear (Arri 4 light kit, tripod, uhf lav mics, micro35 (forsale?), marantz recorder, at4073 mic, C-stands, flags, slate... about 7.5k worth of gear) and use it on your own little personal shorts if you want. I figured I'd just use his camera when I needed no problem... that's what friends do right? (I had no camera at this point). Well MANY months later I found out through the grapevine he's still doing weddings and using MY gear! Wow, what a friend! So, I finally had some projects come up that I needed my gear for and I asked to get it back... well, phone call after phone call I FINALLY get to go get my gear and of course he only has about half of it. Many months later I find out he doesn't know where the lav mics are and other stuff... he eventually finds some of the misc. stuff but never my mics. He takes forever to give me back most of the stuff though I never got the slate to which he said "if he still wants the slate he can sue me!" This is not a nice slate, but a $30 job... really?! Lets not mention he's bad mouthing me to the entire community which isn't very large in this town the whole time. I finally have cleared up most of that stuff because his stories are so full of holes that they can't hold cottage cheese and most people recognize I'm not that guy. Still no mic, no slate, and other misc stuff... oh and that 501 plate. You would think as much as he acts like he's tired of having to "deal with me" over this stuff he would just give me back all my gear and be done with it! Sorry for dumping this all in here... just got to vent it out sometimes I guess. OH, and since there is always two sides to this... from my understanding the biggest problem we had and the reason this all happened was because we "argued" too much. So his way of saying "I don't think this is working out" was to lie... because he "wanted to save our friendship". LOL Randy Panado December 4th, 2008, 03:57 PM Alain, If you're having problems with payment and what not, COD via USPS is always an option? Just a friendly suggestion. :) Good luck on your sale! Darrin Altman December 6th, 2008, 01:31 AM I just purchased a Red Rock MicroX M2 Bundle, with Follow Focus and hard case and used on one shoot with my HVX-200. I then decided to buy the Canon 5DMII so I dont plan on using the M2 with my HVX-200 anymore - so its all for sale. Its the brand new M2 package RedRock Micro sells: M2 microX Bundle - Universal SD/HD A complete bundle to set your camera up with the M2 cinema lens adapter and be able to attach 35mm lenses. This bundle includes the microX flip accessory and a universal achromat that works with both standard definition (SD) DV cameras as well as high definition (HD) cameras. Also included in this bundle is: microRodSupport system 18" stainless steel rods 35mm still lens mount shim kit 82-55mm step-down ring 72-55mm step-down ring microX riser block alternate riser block Please note we do not currently recommend the microX for Sony HDV cameras with filter sizes of 72mm or larger. This currently includes the Sony Z1, Z7, FX1, and EX1 cameras. Sony cameras with smaller than 72mm filter rings (such as the Sony V1 and A1) do work with the microX." Mine has the Nikon lens mount and is setup perfect with shims for the HVX200. I also have the hard case they sell to hold it all. I am also selling the Follow Focus which comes with 4 lens rings. And I am throwing in a Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens to use with setup. To buy all of this you would pay at least $3000. I will send pictures to anyone interested. Send your best offer / no trades. Mark Bournes December 6th, 2008, 08:24 AM Chris there are a couple for sale here on DV info. I'm selling one with a manual lens and a few extras. If you're interested in mine and want to see pics email me at mark@sharkvp.com Kim Swift December 6th, 2008, 08:36 AM Asking $2000.00 O/B/O Hi, I am in Chicago and have this camcorder for sale. I bought it from an encyclopedia company that discovered it was too advanced for their projects. Well, it is also too advanced for mine. I shot about an hour on it at a seminar. I used auto mode as there are so many controls on this camcorder. THE FOOTAGE LOOKED GREAT. I dont know how to check thehours, etc. but if you tell me how I can do it so you can have accurate info. I can send photos when you email me as there is no upload function here. I am willing to consider your offers. Please email me. Thanks. Kimberly John Dewey December 6th, 2008, 08:50 AM Bump. If you think my price is too high, please feel free to make an offer. Thanks! Don Bloom December 6th, 2008, 10:27 AM Kim, you might want to specify what lens is on the camera (could be a Canon 16X or 19X or a Fuji 17X) what battery mount is on the camera (V mount or Anton Bauer) and which viewfinder although IIRC when JVC came out with the 5100 they put the 116 viewfinder on the camera. (The 115 sucked) Also if there are any accessories such as batteries, charger, filters, bag or hard case etc. Also IIRC from my 5000 to check the hours (operation and drum run anyway) go into the main menu, and somewhere on that page there will be an item about camera operation page to that and the hours should be there. It's either 2 or 3 pages deep. Sorry I can't be more specific but it's been a few years since I had my JVC5000 so I don't remember exactly. The 5100 is a great camera. Don George Strother December 6th, 2008, 11:30 AM $250 with shipping in the US. Tim Polster December 6th, 2008, 01:27 PM Still for sale Steve S. Kim December 6th, 2008, 01:59 PM SOLD: $75 - Tiffen 4x4" 4x (0.6) Neutral Density Glass Filter Kim Swift December 6th, 2008, 02:31 PM Hi Don, thanks for the info! I think the lens is the Fuji 17X there is no battery, just the cord for electricity comes with three filters a hard pelican case viewfinder - vf p115vu I just know its in mint condition and I dont know how to use it :( In your opinion, is 2000.00 a good asking price for this camcorder as long as the drum numbers are low? I dont want to ask for too much, or too little. Thanks again ... |
