Marcin Wilczek January 24th, 2008, 12:17 PM As the audio quality of Desktop entertainment improves, and the production values grow more lavish, the need for better computer game and DVD speaker monitoring becomes more apparent. The growing and somewhat neglected market that is multimedia music production is in fact a healthy and evolving industry.
M-Audio has addressed the desktop multimedia monitoring issue directly, with the introduction of the Studiophile DX4, a pair of relatively small, self-amplified, shielded 2-way speakers, that borrow heavily in design from that company's existing series of studio monitors, but specifically target the desktop playback and production market.
The Studiophile DX4 consists of a powered main speaker that ultimately offers 18 Watts per channel of amplification, and a passive satellite, connected to the main via a supplied speaker cable.
A pair of 1/4" inputs offer both balanced and unbalanced connectivity, in addition to the pair of RCA line inputs. Both sets are summed for simultaneous use, should the need arise. The front panel availability of both a volume control knob and an 1/8" headphone jack is a welcome feature, and a rear panel midrange boost switch represents the lone tone control in the minimalist M-Audio design scheme.
The Studiophile DX4 is an innovative monitoring solution for the gamer or desktop music creator, offering studio quality performance and design at a fraction of the cost.

James C Sadeghi January 24th, 2008, 05:35 PM Paul, 42 tapes? how many hours does that put on the camera? Also, the warranty does it need to be transfered? also, what is the condition of the camera? physically, functionally?
Paul Cronin January 24th, 2008, 05:36 PM The tapes are one hour each and I used a HV-10 and HV-20 to download the tapes not the A1. So about 42 hrs is accurate. I do not know on the warranty I will check.
Jason Bowers January 24th, 2008, 05:38 PM Hi Paul, sorry about the name, my dyslexia! see can't even spell that correctly:)
Jason Bowers January 24th, 2008, 05:41 PM What was the $400 item left out? Also wouldn't the warranty be expired by May 2007? Has it had any exposure to water at all?
James C Sadeghi January 24th, 2008, 06:00 PM Paul, please let me know when you find out. I am interested in the camera.

Paul Cronin January 24th, 2008, 06:45 PM Jason no worry.
The $400 item was three bags that I sold today. And no the camera has never had water on it.
Correct the warranty will run out in May. And from reading the warranty card it does not say anything about transfer. I did send in the warranty card and register with Canon when I purchased the camera. Also searched their site and can't find anything. Will look more tomorrow.
Jason Bowers January 24th, 2008, 06:52 PM Hi Paul
you purchased in May 2006 so the warranty would have already expired right? How would you ship it in? Do you have a carry case or the original box? Do you know how much to ship to Grand Portage MN 55605?
thanks
Loren Simons January 24th, 2008, 10:26 PM another email sent =D
Mike Andrade January 24th, 2008, 10:43 PM Derek,
I just sent you an email with the info for mine thats up for sale. Unfortunately not in Tx right now though.
Greg Boston January 24th, 2008, 11:04 PM I don't suppose you have any XL lenses rolling around under your couch, do you? I need a 14X so badly.
Nope, but I do have a CA full zoom through .7 that is flawless and in the original box. I used it only a couple times. Also have the system isolator and Lightwave wind sock for the stock mic. Have been meaning to re-list those items.
As for a get together, Texas Road House is now open. I also like Stan's.

David C Wright January 25th, 2008, 06:36 AM Selling an Equinox housing for a Sony Z1. See manufacturers webpage for details http://equinoxhousings.com/detail.php?p=pro10z1u
Used for one shoot and in perfect condition Asking $1200
Please email me at lunaseafilms@mac.com with any questions
Paul Cronin January 25th, 2008, 08:09 AM Jason the warranty should go through April. But I have not found if it can be transfered yet I just back in the office today. I do not have the original box but always pack properly and would also insure the package. Check with UPS ground at 10 lbs and insured it would be $18 - $20 to ship.
Correction after calling Canon Service Center in NJ the warranty is not transferable.
As I have said the A1 is a great camera in excellent condition with very low hours and a deal at $2,500 for the package.
Christopher Witz January 25th, 2008, 08:15 AM I'm selling my Canon 5D after 6 months of use as my backup camera to my bigger cams. It has never given me a problem and the images it produces are fantastic! This auction is for the Canon EOS 5D body ( and all the original content of the box... including the box ) and the BG-E4 battery grip ( genuine Canon $230 new ), 3 BP-511 series batteries ( 2 go in the grip, and 1 is extra ). and a USB 2 card reader. There is not a mark or scratch on the camera or grip, and not a mar or scratch on the bottom either... I'd guess there's probably less than 5k actuations... I take very good care of my cameras... you will not be disappointed.
$1900 US
