I'm trying to use the down convert feature when playing back my NLE sessions via firewire. If I come into the camera via firewire with HDV, will the camera downconvert so I can see and hear it on my SD monitor in letterbox?

I'm trying to use the down convert feature when playing back my NLE sessions via firewire. If I come into the camera via firewire with HDV, will the camera downconvert so I can see and hear it on my SD monitor in letterbox?

I had some trouble getting this to work, but it does work. Set your camera up to downconvert to SD before hooking it to your computer.

I'm using iMovie to edit my SD 16:9 video and I'm importing video in that format.
