Hey again, Our projects - till now shot on fs-4 and tape all run to minimum 1 hr with several cameras (Church meetings mainly, the occasional concert), after which producing a rough cut is an urgent priority. The FAT32 2GB filesize issue means that as soon as I copy the clips to my editing disk, i need to export a single movie of all the assembled clips - Very time consuming! - before I can use the multiclip function of FCP 5. Does anyone know of any workarounds that can help me here? - or any way of modifying the FS4 to an HSF filesystem (i guess not!)

Just a thought...

Do you really need to join all the clips together to begin with? Could you not just treat them all as if they were recorded on different cameras?

As you've already got the footage I'm guessing that even if you could change the FS4's file system that wouldn't help you this time round...

It is not possible to change the FS-4's file system.

We are doing the same thing you are on a weekly basis. Joining clips in FCP and then bringing them back into multiclip.
I can only hope that Apple will allow you to multiclip sequences in the future. It would be nice to see ZFS file system in the FS-4

hey I have 2 xha1's and 2 fs-c's. So-for clarity...what is the best way for me to do multiclips in fcp6?

I'm also confused as to whether I should rename the clips or leave them labeled as they are and just make subclips like i used to do w/ tapes....

anyone w/ a really great multicam workflow and firestore clip management philosophy?
