I am finishing up a movie that I want to offer online as a "digital download" for a nominal price. I have used 2Checkout in the past for digital downloads and there fees and service was excellent but does not make good business sense for "lower" cost goods (.5% plus $0.45 off the retail price of each total order) For example... if I want to sell my movie for a dollar... they would be taking close to half! Does anyone have recommendations for a good digital downloads provider? For the music industry (bands selling songs on the net) there are tons of decent and cheap services... but for video?? I can't seem to find any.

I have a Producers account with Google and I might be able to help you. Just hold on tight.

but they only offer a PayPal form of payment (I want direct credit cards) and, most of my customers will be Japanese and Chinese (although after one or two copies are sold in China it'll take all of 2 seconds for them to copy it and spread it free to everyone not understanding or having respect for peoples work) = international.

Your customers can pay by credit card with PayPal. If you don't like them, there is a slew of competitors (none of which I have any experience with): http://www.clickandbuy.com, http://www.sepomo.com/, http://www.newterritories.net,
What about SMS (http://www.m-enable.com/) or phone (http://www.daopay.com/) payments?

PayPal and Credits cards... Hmmm... I will have to check it out further. I just always got the impression people had to go through the whole "sign up" step before using PayPal which makes it a hassle but if not so, I will look into it. Also I will check the other links, thanks!
