Hi Everyone,
I'm at my wits end. I've read and read until I can't read anymore, and I need some input.
The common theme I've read all over this board is that you need to choose a camera based on your project.
After weeks of studying, my two "finalists" in camera choices are the JVC GY-HD110U and the Sony HVR-V1U. My project is to shoot my first low-budget feature-length film. Most scenes are simple dialog indoors, outdoors, during day and night. No car chases, no sporting events, etc.
The excitement surrounding the new Sony is infectious, and the proven-reliability of the JVC seems smart.
DPs and filmmakers: If you were in my shoes right now, which camera would you be leaning towards? Or if the answer is not that simple: How can I better make this decision? I'm stuck!
Thanks!
