"A device the size of a sugar cube will be able to record and store high resolution video footage of every second of a human life within two decades, experts said yesterday."
Emre Safak December 13th, 2006, 07:25 PM That would be so good. Memory is everything; remember Blade Runner?
Andy Graham December 13th, 2006, 07:33 PM Man that would be somethin. Its a shame a major side affect of smokin weed is memory loss. Personnally Id forget my whole time at college, lol.
good thing i quit when it matters,
Andy
Paulo Teixeira December 14th, 2006, 09:54 PM On the one hand you’re privacy will literally disappear into thin air but on the other hand crime would dramatically decrees.
For personal use, this type of technology can come in handy once you reach old age. If you’re having trouble remembering your past, all you have to do is hit rewind and play on your computer. Better yet, the image will probably pop up in you brain, so all you would have to do is carry a remote control in your pocket.
Christopher Lefchik December 14th, 2006, 11:43 PM Think about the hacking possibilities, though.
Wasn't there a movie that explored this whole concept? [EDIT: Nevermind, I realized I was probably thinking of Minority Report.]

Hey, thanks! Looking at the description I realize I did hear about that film. I saw the trailer but never watched the movie. Somehow I forgot about it and ended up thinking of a scene from Minority Report.
This is bad. I'm too young to be having these kind of memory lapses. ;-)
I need one of those memory implants. :-0
Terence Murphy December 15th, 2006, 10:51 AM So is that compressed, and interlaced or progressive scan? I don't want a bunch of artifacts in my life LOL.

Jason Strongfield December 20th, 2006, 10:40 AM i hope they wont use windows on those computers !
Gary Chavez December 21st, 2006, 03:32 PM Who is gonna do all that shooting?
Paulo Teixeira December 21st, 2006, 04:35 PM Gary Chavez,
It’s basically a video camera attached to you that records everything you do from the minute you’re born until you die.
Jim Michael December 26th, 2006, 09:32 PM For some folks 64k should be plenty.
Scott Ellifritt January 1st, 2007, 10:20 PM Gary Chavez,
...that records everything you do from the minute you’re born until you die.
And for most, 95% of it would be on the electronic floor.
Tim OBrien January 2nd, 2007, 10:15 AM Who would want to store (or sit through) the 98% of life that is boring mundane and/or embarassing for the 2% or less that might be interesting?
And since the post-MTV-generation has the attention span of a gnat, who would care????
;-)
