Just purchased some Taiyo Yuden dvd+Rs and regularly score 93 with Nero--that's 93 percent better than my Wal-Mart Memorex dvd+rs!

Anyway, the burned Yuden's don't work in X-Box, but the crappy Memorex's did. Is that normal? Frankly, it isn't a big deal with me, but I was just curious if this was what others have discovered and X-Box only recognizes the poorer quality dvds?

Interesting...

I don't have an X-Box so I can't say whether or not this is normal. One thing you could try is changing the bitsetting for your DVD+R to DVD-ROM when burning, if your DVD burner supports this feature.

It seems strange to me, but each drives responds differently.

Some Taiyo Yuden blanks are fakes, and not real TY discs. Maybe that's it???

Good thought. Dale, where did you happen to purchase your Taiyo Yuden discs?
