Is anyone familar with a simple way to extract still frames directly from m2t files? This is a task I'm needing to do more and more, but have no quick way to do it. Currently I have to convert the m2t to Cineform AVI with HDLink, which can take 20 to 40 minutes per file - then import the AVI into Premiere, which then has to 'conform' the audio - another 10-20 minutes. Everything I have in HDV is archived in (large) m2t files, as it's not practical to store everything in AVI (now approaching 25 hours of file footage). If I need something out of the archives for a project, I convert to AVI as-needed.

Just looking for a lightweight app that can just extract full-rez stills from the m2t.

VideoReDo ($49) opens raw m2t files and has a "capture frame" option.

(EDIT) Aha! MPEG Streamclip will also do it, and it's freeware.
