I'm proud to report that my DVC7 film starts with a dolly shot using the Mike Teutsch dolly I received after DVC5. If only my skills with my tripod's floating head were worthy of the dolly itself. I've also used it on a few other shoots recently and it is a wonderful tool.

I will note that the term "Mike Teutcsh dolly" is far too cumbersome, so I've taken to abbreviating it as the "Teutsch-y", as in "When I say action, push my Teutschy gently towards the actors". For some reason, I occasionally get strange looks from the crew...

I'm looking at the spelling, and for the life of me I can't figure out how it's supposed to sound. You must get tired of spelling it out. when people hear my last name, they get a fog over their eyes about halfway through. most just cut off 2/3rds and just say Fosse.

We found my great great great, well not sure how many greats, grandfather's civil war discharge papers and it was spelled Vossenkemper. Then I tried to figure out what it ment. So far i've come up with, Bender of wood (or barrel maker), I've also come up with warrior.

Ah the difficult last names problem rears it's head again. The funny thing is I never thought my last name was that difficult, but I ever since I can remember it's been a problem.
No one seems to read HURTER when they read my last name. They see HUNTER, HARDER, HARTER, HERTER (at least that one would sound right), and yes even HOOPER.
