Does anyone know where I can find historical footage for a documenatary? I need early footage of the U.S. and international if possible.
Thanks for any info.

Gilbert Rob Katz December 5th, 2006, 10:00 AM try library of congress website i believe that all of their footage is public domain so buying rights is not an issue. there are, of course, dozens of archival footage houses/websites but u will be paying a rights fee for all footage from those sources. after looking over loc report back to this forum with your findings enjoy the process be well rob Meryem Ersoz December 5th, 2006, 10:24 AM try archive.org - they have a lot of historical footage available without charge. you usually have to transcode it, but it's still pretty good.
