ok, i'm shooting a music video in January for an established band for a well known Music Academy here in the UK, so i'm doing it for free to get my foot in the door.

I'm gonna take with me:
- FX1,
- GS500,
- mics (for 'behind the scenes/interviews/bloopers opportunities')
- tripods
- glidecam
- lenses (wide-angle etc)
- 2 x studio lights
- blue-screen backdrop with stand
- any props i can think of nearer the time
- snacks, drinks, powerleads, sense of humour!

what else should i maybe take to ensure I get a good studio setup and to look professional??

any additional tried+tested tips from any of you at all??

many thanks

forget blue screen, use green.. or better yet, use the reflective beaded chroma screens (for the life of me i cant remember what theyre called...)

ditch the GS and hire another FX1

i think uve covred everything :)

haha, well spotted...i did actually mean green screen....i always call it bluescreen (thinking back to the old 'superman' days...i need to get with the times!)

I agree i need 2 FX1s, but i'll leave it this time around.

and besides, don't be so quick to dismiss the GS500. it delivers truly commendable results for what it is (true widescreen too), so i consider that to be backup for at least the 'behind the scenes rolling footage'. also, if i get really useable shots, i'll just colourise them a bit, and use them as best i can in the main video.

thanks

never doubted it mate, in fact, i use an mx500 for jsut this purpose.. i have what i like to call "bridecam"and it works a treat..i wont go into detail, but the camera itself is yet to let me down (knock on wood) also serves as a great 3mp camera, as well as a DV Tape deck... ;)
