I'm trying to output a quicktime file for the web using H264 compression. I am using Premiere Pro 1.5 and everytime I render it out in this format, It always comes out 4:3. My source is 1080i HD.

I have played around with all the aspect settings and forcing the resolution. Even when I make the quicktime movie 16:9 (by either selecting the correct aspect or using square pixels and cropping the res) the actual video stays centred 4:3.

How do I output proper 16:9 from H264. I remembered I have premiere 2.0 on here too so I may try that. Cheers.

Ok, It's working out of PP2.0, no idea why it would only do 4:3 in H264 from PP1.5... Only bad thing is that PP2.0 crashes alot under vista while we have never had a problem with 1.5.

Actually, while i'm here. Any one got any suggestions for the best settings to use to create a relativly small but good looking quicktime for the web (of a music video)...

640x360 at 15fps if you want to stay under 512kbps and 640x360 at 30fps if you can afford to go to as high as 1Mbps.

And what % on the quality setting and the bandwidth?

I honestly do not know what to set the quality as I do not use Premiere, but I already specified the bandwidth: 512kbps is a good target for streaming, in my opinion.
