Anyone aware of a place that has good deals on C stands?

I have bought several of the ones from "Amvona" and I can atest that they're sturdy, clean and well-made. I'm not saying anything bad about the others because I haven't tried them.

You need to set a limit and stick to your maximum bid, or you'll end up paying retail, so some patience is required.

i have matthews, turtle base c-stands in a pelican 1750. 4 of em - complete with arms, etc. its big, but its necessary. they are sturdy, great and will never go out of style. if you want to invest in gear that will continue to give you a return on your money - stuff like this is where it's at. we were just joking yesterday that the c-stands were "HD" - since they don't care what format you're shooting.

they're big enough for c-stand duty, but also have the benefit of an integral boom arm. nice design. guys i know swear by em.

I have one of these too and haven't had any problems with them but am a little concerned with them being aluminum and have the boom out. I usually only have an Arri 150 but am contemplating going for the steel ones next time.
