What is the best method to hold the focusing screen inside a tube or something like that?I would like to use the vibrating GG holder from toenis. But unfortunately I still can't find a way to pay him the $$$.

And is that a Canon 250D macro is sufficient for a PD170 to focus on a EE-S screen?

PEople said the EE-S is much darker than the EE-A. If I want a bright screen on a static design. Shall I use EE-A instead?

I've got a PD170 and I have 3 hoya cluseup filters (+1, +2, +4) and Im able to focus on my screen which is sandwiched between the last macro and a uv filter.

You don't see a lot of people on here with PD170s, but mine is working pretty well for a DIY 35mm adapter.

YEAH!!!It's really a godsend. I may consider purchase the holder from daniel. But I'm not sure about their quality and durability. It is a $75 include shipping cost after all It's not a small sum.

And in fact I'm a really poor film student. And will use a DIY adapter to film my final year project. (Perhabs I could let you guys see my final project)
A Canon 250D achromat diopter is the only thing I can afford. But I have to make sure that +4 is sufficient to fill the frame. Or if I add another cheaper +4 macro together with the 250D. Will the quality suffer much?

And I have another question. I just bought a Canon EE-S screen yesterday. But I'm concerning it's brightness. Since I might use it to shoot at night during production. I might considering buy the EE-A too next week for a spare. Do you think EE-A is practically MUCH brighter than EE-S?

EE-S loses only 3% of light when metered with lux meter.
SLR lenses lose the most in this setup.
Don`t plan any no-light shooting with dof adaptor but spotlights can save your day/night.

Yea I have no problem with indoor shots since I can borrow enough spotlights to melt the adapter at school. But I love outdoor night scenes (e.g. Hong Kong nightscenes)

I look forward to seeing this... I don't think anyone has posted adapter footage of a similar location (ex. Las Vegas or NYC).
