I've bought a couple of G2 systems, and they've worked great.
The only issue is the supplied microphone clips, which are big and ugly. Only a bit of folded-over Gaffer Tape would outshine its ugliness. The mic its self is fine - just the clip.
Can anyone suggest a commercially available clip that is small and discrete?

Thanks for the thread, Vince - however, this covers the mic its self, not the clip. Whilst I'm not going to sell off my Cos-11s, I'm very happy with the Senn's G2 mic.
It's the clip. A purely cosmetic thing. ECMs look workmanlike, COS-11s almost invisible and very 'pro'; the G2 mic would look fine IF it wasn't snagged to a slab of cheap plastic clothes-peg.

B&H sells mic clips for the MKE2 mic that are similar to Sony's ECM77 clips. You could also try some generic vampire clips.

Those loops in the cable and those 'clothes-pegs' are there for a good reason. They stop mechanical noise going up the cable into the mic itself. If you use another clip arrangement make certain you have a loop in the cable as close to thi mic as possible to stop noise.

Search "lav tie clip" on B&H and you'll find lots.
I'd like a quality tie clip for a Tram 50 mic -- any suggestions for that? The vampire clips are good but the tie clip for the Tram is crummy -- the mic falls out of the clip easily. I'd like something like the Audio Technica clips.

I just got a set of Tram lavs for my 2 g2 systems and have the same feelings on the tie clip...crap, especially for such an expensive lav you would think they would have a better mount. In the week I have owned the mics I have spent at least an hour searching for the tie clip after it fell off the mic. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

The tiny clip grabs the wire of the mic. I use these with Countryman mics as well as my AT lavs.
