I've searched a bit there doesn't seem to be much feedback about the Petroff P442S MatteBox.

I went and had a look at it in a store here in Auckland yesterday and really liked it however it has its limitations.

1, cannot add rails
and 2, non lockable filter stages

The next step up is the Century and then the Chroziel. They both of course have rails and even though they still haven't got lockable filter stages one of the 2 stages on each box is fixed.

So i guess the main question is, am i going to run into problems not running a box on rails and will i also regret having a fixed filter stage?

(FYI i plan on also grabbing a filter set with grad nd, polarizing, blue, orange etc)

Also if there is anyone who is using te petroff mattebox some feedback would be great on how it is.

Cheers!

The Petroff offers rails too. Expensive, but they are listed on their site.

Also have a look at this too:

I think they are one of the best deals in matte-box for now.
