Although I did this little tutorial for Avid Liquid users, there are still many pointers which apply to most other users too.
I wanted to get my HDV 1080i footage onto my website so that the clips could be viewed at a high resolution and also at a reasonably large picture size.
If you want to see more of my results you can find a link to my site at the end of the tutorial.

This method is only 1 of countless methods. It is the one that works best for me.

Hope some of you can find something useful in it.

Douglas,
thanks very much for the tutorial, I'm going to try this out on my website.

I'm about to upgrade to Canon XLH1 and Canon HV 10 camcorders for use in my MuskOx project: http://www.video-film.no/prosjekt_eng.html

It's some sample-videoes at my site shoot with Canon XL2 in 50i SD. Will be exciting to compare my new camcorders footage with the old ones!

Hej Per,
Tack för responsen. Jag har varit i kontakt med en av dina medarbetarna - Geir Inge Bjørneseth Brekke från GibbFilm.

You have both some awesome footage on your sites about the Muskox.
I knew what -25 to -30 Celsius felt like when I lived in the north of Sweden..... but I donät envy you standing on those winswept snow covered mountains.....trying to press the correct buttons on the cameras.

Hope my little tutorial gave you some help.

I am pretty sure that Flash will be in the forefront of future web video development.

Good luck,

Douglas
