The eye piece viewfinder on my camera just went on the fritz...I swapped a buddies on my camera and it powered right up...so I know it has to be my eye piece.

Has anyone had this happen? Is it a common problem with this camera?

I am also basically a month out of warranty period...I purchased last year in October...any suggestions on how to get/or the hope of still getting warranty coverage?

The really funny thing...is I rarely use it anyway...it is seldom on my camera, but I went to use it a week or so ago at a sports shoot where it was not real practical to use the flip-out and it was not working at that time.
