Hi, which focusing screen is better for static adaptor design? Could someone, who owns both of this screens post some screenshots? Is one of them less grainly than other? Thanks

From what I hear, The EE-S is pretty good if used properly.

Check out this thread

thanks for reply, i know that thread. But many people are using EE-S and some EE-A. I would like to know, why is S better than A or reversely:) If am i right, the EE-S one is darker, but is less grainly, has better bokeh, or why is it, that many users preffer this one? Thanks

Another reason for using EE-S is the ease of focusing as the name suggests - "Super Precision Focusing".
Please watch the worst cases with static EE-S screen (http://www.cinedof.com/static/worst_cases_static_ees.wmv) (wmv 6MB) for evaluation.

EE-S screen loses only 3% of light and EE-A doesn`t seem to lose any.

EE-S has (kind of strange) bokeh when lens are fully open and EE-A forms bokeh from f4 and on.

If hazy bokeh and easy focusing isn`t your concern I would suggest that you should use EE-A.

Cheers,

So has anyone actually perfected the EE-S or EE-A static design. Everyone seems to be saying that the EE-S screen is perfect for a static solution but no one has yet produced good quality static stills or footage. Does anyone have any decent static stills or footage from the EE-S screens? Ive seen some EE-A stills but not sure if it was static as it did not say.

Also Toenis, do you have a picture of your static screen holder I could see please.

I`ve posted this quite many times but here you can download static clips filmed with static EE-S screen (http://www.cinedof.com/static/).
Image softness is directly associated with camcorder lens sharpness fully open or not.

What size are these screens? I noticed that they are for a DSLR, so are they a little smaller that 35mm?
