View Full Version : How good are the stills from A1 Jay Yellamaty November 26th, 2006, 10:37 AM Any one try out the still camera feature on the A1 ? How good is the resolution ? How big are the files ? Thanks Terence Murphy November 26th, 2006, 10:55 AM The camcorderinfo review includes a couple of shots of resolution/color charts taken in still mode. I think some of the still features might actually be useful, and the resolution isn't bad (1920x1080 pixels, 700k measured resolution). http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Canon-XH-A1-Camcorder-Review.htm -terence Chris Hurd November 26th, 2006, 12:37 PM Look through our XL H1 Sample Clips forum (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?f=126). The still images you'll find there will give you an idea of what the A1 is capable of (same image sensors, same DSP, etc. and nearly the same lens as the XL H1). Hope this helps, Jay Yellamaty November 27th, 2006, 04:09 PM Thanks Terence and Chris. They are obviously processed differently for format specifications but I am very pleased with the quality.
