I think I have concluded this to be true, I just wanted to get reinforcement before I bought some batteries from a friend.

Sony was kind enough to send a pair of F970s with the V1. But, they are too big. What is the next size down? John M. Graham November 26th, 2006, 10:33 AM Jerry, Yes, all of Sony's handheld prosumer/professional cameras (VX, PD, FX, Z1, V1) use the same NP-FXXX InfoLithium "L" size batteries. Steve, I believe it is the F770. Terence Murphy November 26th, 2006, 10:57 AM Sony was kind enough to send a pair of F970s with the V1. But, they are too big. What is the next size down? Steve -- do you just want lower weight for hand-held use, or do you feel the F970 throws off the balance of the camera? -Terence John M. Graham November 26th, 2006, 06:28 PM For me, although the 970 is heavier, it actually helps out on the balance on the VX/PD and FX/Z1 cams. I'm really curious how it would feel handling a FX7/V1U with it on... Heath McKnight November 26th, 2006, 06:43 PM I had no problems with the 970 batteries on the Z1, FX1 or V1. They last a long time, even with the viewfinder open. heath Douglas Spotted Eagle November 26th, 2006, 09:03 PM I had no problems with the 970 batteries on the Z1, FX1 or V1.
