Ah... My first post. I've been reading this board a lot, and it has helped me a lot while making decisions on my recent camera purchase. (I recently picked up an XL2). Thank you all for that, but now I am starting to run into my first problems as I am starting to familiarize myself with the new equipment.

I recently picked up a used 16x Manual Zoom lens for the XL2 that is missing the manual, and I was searching the Canon corporate website to try to download the manual from their website.

I have had no luck finding any information on the lenses on their website looking under the XL2 support, the only documents that I have been able to find are the manual for the XL2 itself, the XL2 brochures, XL2 accessory brochures, and a CCD comparison chart.

Does anybody know the link for where information about the XL lenses can be found on Canon's support website? I would like to get the documents for the 20x , 3x, and 16x Manual.

I have searched the forum a little bit and found a manual for the 14x Manual that was scanned by one of the members, but have had no luck finding documentation for 16x.

If someone can please help me with this, it would be much appreciated. Thank You.

Not sure there are any individual manuals for the 20x, 16x, and 3x lenses, as they are covered in the camera manuals and do not have any other owner adjustments. The Xl1, XL1's and XL2 watchdogs forums have the other info one might need. The only manual/spec sheet that comes with the 14x manual and the 16x manual just cover the backfocus adjustment. I believe both lenses are the same.

All the specs for the 14x and 16x manual lenses can be found here, (with all others) thanks to Chris Hurd:

The only important thing in the 16x 'manual' (a small instruction sheet) is the instructions for adjusting the back focus. You can get those here

Although the actual instructions for the 16x lens say you should set up a target two or three meters away.
