I have noticed a bit of noise in the blacks of the camera, or am I noticeing this because of the HD and the quality of the images. I shoot the camera with -3db as well as 23.98. Gamma Cine 4 and High Sat on.

Any ideas?

Steve,
I only notice it using gain < +3 and above >
0 and -3 look great.
What are you monitoring with? < LCD, CRT, Computer Preview ? >
Are you monitoring out of the camera or from
from a MXF file in an editing app?

There is some noise, certainly a bit more than a 750 HDCAM but I find that at 0 and -3db it is not too noticable or distracting.

It is not objectable, Just there, I monitoring it off of the F70 deck on a Panasonic LCD monitor.

LCD monitor will always make any noise look worse than it is - I'm seeing very little noise in the blacks on our CRT monitor.

Had to shoot with +9db gain today and it didn't look as noisy as many other cameras I have worked with. The grain is very fine.
