OK, so I have installed a new USB 2.0/firewire card in my machine for capture and storage out to an external hard drive. The drivers disk only contains USB drivers. Tech support tells me that Microsoft has it's own drivers for XP, but didn't tell me where to download them. Looked everywhere I can think of and no luck. Any help appreciated. Micro innovations 5 port USB2.0/Firewire PCI card.

They're already built in to the OS. Typically you'll see a Microsoft AV/C device show up when you plug in your camera. If you plug in an external drive, it should just show up in My Computer.

about a 2 years ago i installed a combo usb2/1394 pci card in XP ( can't remember name of pci card) & win2k ( adaptec pci) computers and had to use the drivers that came with the pci card ... XP/2k could not install a driver that had both USB/1394 working ...perhaps since then microsoft has come up with drivers??
