Not sure either they have a XLH1 list at nearly half off too; doesn't seem right to me.

After a little more research on the website in question I found this:

I wouldn't try to buy from them if I were you. Good luck!

Found a bunch of great comments about this store from "ShoppingCartUSA"
How do evil (insert swear word of preference) like this get away with it? I saw the same blurb as above which looks to have worked like a charm i.e. "bait and switch".
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY AS THEY VERY CLEARLY APPEAR TO BE BOGUS.
Oh...and it looks like it's NTSC only so.....double damn! Will just need to wait for the UK release.

I'm in the UK and was wondering is the XH-A1 like the Sony Z1 in that you can switch between PAL and NTSCYes, this is an optional upgrade which can be installed in your XH A1 by the Canon UK service facility for a price (it's $500 in the U.S.). See this link: http://www.canon-europe.com/xlh1/options.asp?ComponentID=335647&SourcePageID=335801#2 -- "Options: PAL/NTSC: The XL H1 can be made compliant with both PAL and NTSC signal systems when an upgrade is made at an authorized Canon Service Centre." There's more on that page. That's in reference to the XL H1, but the same option is available for the XH A1 and G1 at the same price.
Questionable outfits like the one you've found are the primary reason why I've networked with honest, reputable, authorized dealers as sponsors of this site. We point all "where to buy" questions to them. In the UK we specifically recommend Production Gear in Hertfordshire. Their contact info is on my Sponsors page at http://www.dvinfo.net/sponsors -- hope this helps,
