Well to be fair about it, part of the reason is this site's long established track record in covering Canon video. DV Info Net grew out of the XL1 Watchdog and most of its initial audience back in 2001 were Canon XL1 and XL1S owners. One of our senior forum moderators used to be annoyed by the fact that our XL1 board was busier than our Open DV Discussion board. I've tried my best to build up each of the various camera fora here; ideally they would all be equally popular, but our reputation for Canon coverage continues to prevail -- which is just fine by me, but we really do try to spread the site as evenly as possible among all of the brands.

Yeah, but you could say the same thing about the FX7 and it's nothing but tumbleweeds on that subforum. Unless the V1 really lives up to its high expectations, Sony may be losing a lot of customers to Canon ...
