I use my xl1s to shoot everthing I do, and I was wondering I have a sony trv25 consumer cam that I don't use much. Is it bad to use to to capture footage? Like useing it just to capture stuff that I shoot with the xl1s? Is there any decrease in quality?

Many people use less expensive consumer cameras as decks. (Use the Search function to read more.) Digital is digital; there's no loss in quality.
