After a few days of messing around with code in Macromedia Flash 8, I have come up with a 18 min clip that should run in real time for those on ADSL.

My conection is 1.5mbps and I get 150kbps download speed so if you have around the same speed give it ago.

Now you need to go here and download the FLASH 9 Beta (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer9.html) player and updates for IE and Firfox etc browsers. There is also a unistall program if you need it.

I did find Firefox worked great but I had to mess around abit to get it to run fullscreen in IE.

Once it's playing you can move your mouse over the bottom of the video clip and you will see the tool bar appear and located to the right hand side of the tool bar is the option to go full sceen and back.

Let me know how you all go.

It's beautiful. Won't play full screen on my Powerbook G4 12" in Safari, but really pretty and very smooth nonetheless.

Amazing resolution with that, encontered the same prob as Steve with the full screen (using g4&firefox), but none the less, video quality looks great! Could u give us some pointers of the settings used to achieve that?

Paul buddy,

if that's only 150 Kbps, I'll eat my hat!!! I have Comcast cable with download speeds of 8 Mbps tested with speedtest.net - that's from the server to my PC, and already clocked several times downloads of around 1 Mbps real thing. Your video is stop and go on my PC and as one who played around with flash and other compressions as well, I am pretty sure your bitrate is about 7-8 times higher than what you claim it to be, I would estimate it (based on the look) to be around 1 Mbps.

Please come back and tell me I'm right, please, please, please...
