I have an Oktava mko12 and it doesn't fil in the supplied shock mount. What is the deal with this? I thought it was a standard size mic.
Are there any mics that anyone can suggest that will fit snug in the shock mount?

Also, Is it possible to use the stock mic on the XL1, Xl2 or XLH1 or is that a proprietary end connection (If I remember correctly it has two prongs)

have a xl1-s.
have used the 1/8 mic out/in for external mics, and also use my 200 for four xlr, 3 prong in.

I guess i am uncertain what you are trying to say. The Xl1's mic will both work and fit in the shock mount and properly plug in the 1/8 port?

Not likely, because the smaller of the two prongs on the Xl series mics carries the power for the mic. All condenser mics need some form of power.
There's not a standard that I am aware of for microphone physical size.

I was surprised too that my mic wouldn't fit snugly either - but, there are easy solutions to address this
