Both of my PCs are having fits with the Firestore. I used to be able to move footage off the Firestore to a HDD. Now, when I plug in the firewire cable the XP OS detects it as a Panasonic DV Camera and installs a driver. When I go to DD and Enable, it fails. The DV Camera driver seems to be causing the FS-100 to fail to connect with the computer. I've disabled and uninstalled the Panasonic DV Camera driver and it continually returns upon detection of the FS-100.

I've email Focus about the issue. They weren't helpful with a resolve.

Has anyone had this problem and know a workaround or fix within the XP OS?

Try with USB cable...
And or, piggyback it through another
already connected HD to see if you
can fool the computer.
