All,
This past week, JVC issued a press release announcing that producer/director Robert Lynn is producing the film "Adrenaline", shot entirely with the GY-HD100U. The movie will be released into over 1,100 theaters this season. The TV Technology story can be found at this link:

Within the story, is a link to the movie's distributor, Romar Entertainment , where you can see a trailer for the film.

Thanks for the link. The TV Technology info say's it was shot all in one take (a la "Russian Ark"). I looked at the trailer on the Romar web site and it was compelling.
@ Robert Lynn (if you're one of the memebers here), can you offer details? Like what's the TRT and how did you manage in one take?

I'm curious to know about their post production system -- did they use Final Cut Pro?

From what I read it was done in one long take, so I assume they didn't do any editing.

My question: is this really coming out in the theaters? And if so, when? Thanks

Quoting from the press release: "Romar Entertainment has picked up "Adrenaline" for distribution and expects to release the film in theaters next year. "

So how many takes I wonder did it take to get "the" one?
Personally I would rather wear cactus boxers than attempt a stunt like that. ;) More power to them.

We had a screening of the film here at DuArt a few weeks ago and I have to say that it is a bold and engaging piece of work. Director Robert Lynn is a talented filmmaker who I'm sure we'll be seing more of - since Adrenaline he's already finished his second one-take feature.
Adrenaline was shot in SD 24P because HDV 24P hard disk recording was not available when they shot the film. They did a total of five takes over a weekend and kept the last as their best.

Sorry.. I was distracted by the *SMACK* sound of my jaw hitting the floor. Did you say only five takes? That in itself is Bold.
I end up with more than 5 redoes to wipe my ***. ;)
Thanks for the info/update Andrew. I would like to see something from the second one as well.
