What is the best way to do this?

1) Work on a native adobe HDV timeline or Cineform HDV timeline and export to a HDV master tape and then dub the HDV tape to HDCAM ?

2) Edit in an HDV timeline in the NLE, save the project, nest the project into a new 4:2:2: HD-SDI preset project file and then dub out directly to a HDCAM deck?

I can't think of any more, but am wondering what is the best possible route? Thanks!

The second should be a better route since you avoid a HDV compression cycle.

Are there any dubbing houses that offer either m2t or Cineform AVI dubs to HDCAM? Curious if anyone has gone this route with success. HDCAM is expensive and overkill for HDV content, but if that's what the client wants delivered and is willing to pay for it, I'd rather just give them the HDCAM tape than try to convince them to use the digital file.
