Well, I'm miles and from the nearest place to by lense tissue and my lense pen is not doing such a great job these days. Does anyone know a good way to safely clean without these usual devices? Help! My shooting schedule calls for my dirty wide angle tommorrow! I do feel a bit stupid here not knowing the answer to this problem myself. Thanks

The soft side of a chamois leather...I've been using them on lenses for decades.

Thanks, I'll see if I can come up with a piece.

I use lens tissues and cleaning fluid and get excellent results:
you'll need 2 lens tissues then do the following:
1. put a drop or two of fluid on the center of the lens.
2. Smear them around the lens starting in the center and working your way toward the edges in a circular motion
3. using the other lens tissue, start in the center and in a circular motion, dry the lens.
this is the method I always use and it works very well. Hope this helps
