I ordered a BR-HD50U from my reseller some 3 weeks ago.

I was told it would take at least 15 business days before it arrived.

They then called JVC directly when it didn't arrive last week and were told that no BR-HD50U's were shipping for awhile and that it might arrive late this week or possibly next week.

Is the deck in short supply or were a bunch of them updated?

We have been in a back-order situation for a few weeks, but we did get a lot of units in the last day or two. Please check with your reseller again, so they can check on their order. Any new shipments from JVC should have the latest firmware installed.
