I have a FS-4 HD which allows capture of HDV footage but as M2T files- is there an upgrade or firmware change available that will allow the FS-4 to write the M2T's as native Quicktime HDV?

Colin McFadden November 1st, 2006, 09:28 AM Yup, it's $39 from Focus' website (www.focusinfo.com) Bill Ravens November 1st, 2006, 09:37 AM According to FE, the $39 upgrade to HD QT is for the FS4HD Pro only. It would be nice if it worked on the non-Pro model. Colin McFadden November 1st, 2006, 09:41 AM Hmm, didn't realize that the non-pro folks couldn't get it. Bummer. Steve Nunez November 1st, 2006, 04:30 PM Yeah I called FE and they said only "Pro" model as it uses different firmware- although I bet the non-Pro models can do it but they wont allow it because of pricing structure. John Richard November 2nd, 2006, 09:36 AM If you buy the QTHDV install, do you still retain the option of recording m2t files? Matt McEwen November 2nd, 2006, 11:26 AM Yes, m2t support is still included. Matt |
