Hey guys,

I haven't had to compress a feature film in 3 years, so I don't remember my settings. Any advice on what I should do? The 90 minute DVD Studio Pro/Compressor Setting made it close to 5 gb. Should I try 120 minutes or is there a custom out there? (Even with my G5 Quad, this is a LONG process, around 6 hours.)

Thanks,

heath

Use an MPEG-2 bit rate calculator (http://www.customflix.com/bitbudget). If the soundtrack is in Dolby Digital stereo (192kbps), then encode the video at an average bit rate of 6.4Mbps (two-pass VBR is best).
