Stephan Ahonen October 26th, 2006, 07:32 AM LANC is a consumer standard not suited to professional applications. The ENG-style lens on the HD100 uses an 8-pin connection common to most professional broadcast lenses. John Doran October 26th, 2006, 07:37 AM thanks guys a guy has this one for sale would it work: "Fujinon SRD-92B zoom control" john Tim Dashwood October 26th, 2006, 07:42 AM I've got the JVC HZ-ZS12U (Fuji SRD-91) and it works very well. John Doran October 26th, 2006, 07:45 AM thanks i would really need to know if this one would work, are you using it with the jvc101 john Tim Dashwood October 26th, 2006, 07:49 AM thanks i would really need to know if this one would work, are you using it with the jvc101 john The HD101 is a Pro camera so it doesn't have LANC. If you want to control a Fujinon lens, you need a zoom controller compatible with 8-pin fuji port on the lens. The VZ-PRO-L is a LANC controller for consumer cameras. Since Fuji 8-pin is a standard that has been around forever, it should be easy for you to find a zoom controller, especially in the used market. John Doran October 26th, 2006, 07:51 AM tim thanks , i am not clued up on this, but this Fuji SRD-91 seems to have a 8 pin and all i want to know if it would work, its a secondhand item and i acnnot return if it doesnt work john Tim Dashwood October 26th, 2006, 07:53 AM tim thanks , i am not clued up on this, but this Fuji SRD-91 seems to have a 8 pin and all i want to know if it would work, its a secondhand item and i acnnot return if it doesnt work john If you look closely at my post above, that is the exact same one I own. John Doran October 26th, 2006, 07:59 AM tim thanks, yours is :JVC HZ-ZS12U (Fuji SRD-91) Mine: Fujinon SRD-92B zoom control the difference is SRD-91 and SRD-92B it has :one central pin with seven arranged equally around it. do you think it will be ok john Greg Milneck October 26th, 2006, 08:10 AM I have a great Varizoom package that would work for sale, see the classified section: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?p=563462#post563462 Tim Dashwood October 26th, 2006, 08:12 AM yours is :JVC HZ-ZS12U (Fuji SRD-91) Mine: Fujinon SRD-92B zoom control the difference is SRD-91 and SRD-92B it has :one central pin with seven arranged equally around it. do you think it will be ok As long as there are 8 pins and not 12 it will work fine. The difference between the 91 and 92B is that the 91 only has zoom and REC, but the 92B has REC, Zoom and an auto variable speed controller. John Doran October 26th, 2006, 08:13 AM thats a 12 pin thanks anyway john John Doran October 26th, 2006, 08:22 AM tim thank you very much all the best john Jack Walker October 26th, 2006, 05:21 PM As long as there are 8 pins and not 12 it will work fine. The difference between the 91 and 92B is that the 91 only has zoom and REC, but the 92B has REC, Zoom and an auto variable speed controller. I am going to buy one of these. Is there a reason the 92B would be preferred over the 91? or vice-versa? I have the JVC focus controller on the other handle and want the zoom. I am using this for shooting stage shows.
