Can someone help me with this?

I'm kinda goin' for that effect where you hear a radio station that's not coming in very clearly. Imagine yourself (or imagine a movie with this scene) driving down the road in the middle of nowhere, and some religious program with a fiery preacher comes in, but it's kinda faint and static-y. Know what I mean?

How can I do this in Vegas/Soundforge? I have the voice recorded, and I actually recorded some static off my radio. Now what?

Lay in the two tracks in parallel. Cut the high and low frequencies on the voice until you get that classic AM radio small-speaker sound. Mix in the static to taste.

if you need the static, get a radio and detune it...or turn the tuning knob back and forth slightly around a dead space on the dial...record and use to lay over your sound footage.

Oh, darn.

I made a rough cut of the project a while back, and have done all the stuff you guys suggested, almost exactly the same way. I guess I was hoping for something that I'd missed before.
