Hi everyone,

I am not that good in editing yet, and I have seen some pretty good videos after going through heavily color correction process.
I did some color corrections for my previous short film, and I think I should be able to do better with better knowledge.

I know it all depends on the individual's taste and so on, but I've seen some really good videos after being color corrected, which I had not been able to achieve. Can some of the pros give some advice on this?

Would like to hear from you guys, the things you prefer, things to be avoided and so on such as, do you normally desaturate, increase gamma, increase the blue channels etc and so on. (excluding other factors such as lighting etc)

It will be a great help to me and others who wish to improve on their skills . Thanks a lot.

Hello Michael,
Color correction is really an art and skill set all to itself. I'm sure you'll get good tips from other members.

There are at least two recent books on the subject. Here's one at amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1578202019/) that might be worth your investment. I've only paged through it myself but it looks informative.
