I'm looking to make an animation of the earth from space zooming into a live action shot. Can shake do this? if not what are the programs for this kind of thing, without spending $2000.
Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,
ummmm, I'm not sure what you mean by this. But if you are talking about making a 3D Earth, then you might want to check this free 3D making program. Its called Blender (http://www.blender.org/cms/Home.2.0.html), its a really nice program and its easy to use.

Hope that I helped in some way!

Bryce 6 is $36 at www.daz3d.com

I also could make it for you for free if you tell me more about the scene and the format the clip needs to be in.

I like making 3d animations and it would be a pleasure.

Thanks Guy's.
Blender looks like a great find.
Richard-
I really want learn how to do this stuff myself, but the reality is that I'm doing an hour long doc with 0-help & I'm also writing a massive amount of music for it right now, so if you'd like to do it, that would be great. I'd just feel bad if you went to the trouble & it wasn't quite what I wanted, but the shot is pretty standard & simple in concept.
The narration is- Yet right here in my backyard.
So the shot is of the earth (full planet) zooming into a spot in South central KY. (through clouds - but I can put those in with motion) close enough that you can see vegetation so that I can fade to a garden shot. It's SD 720x486.
I really appreciate the for free offer. I know this is going to sell easily so i'd send you some $ when it does.
Peace, Chris

Google earth might be a quick and easy way to do this, depending on your exact needs:

I'll give it a go.

I have 3D solar system I designed myself. So it won't be hard at all.

I'll respond to this post when it done, so you can tell me how to send it to you.

I have 2 basic low res versions done.

Email or IM me and I'll send it to you.

The way I see it, there are 3 parts to this animation the earth fly to, the clouds fly through, then the trees fly over. The easiest way to make this is by making each clip and then editing it together.
