Anyone heard anything about updates for DVD Studio Pro? All the other Mac programs are being updated left and right...and DVD SP just sits there.

They need to get FCP and QT updated. OS 10.3 will also be out the end of the summer. It may be better integrated with a new, yet to be announced audio program. John Locke March 17th, 2003, 08:52 AM Something to trump iTunes?! Or do you mean audio editing program? These updates are coming too fast and furious it seems. I'm just now getting ready to buy 10.2...and now 10.3 is only a few months away?! Aaargh. Jeff Donald March 17th, 2003, 09:47 AM No, iTunes gets updated in the next month or so. Probably with the announcement of a music swapping program (pay per song) that Apple is negotiating with the major labels. Apple should have it's own audio editing program to complement FCP. I expect something mid to late summer. Say goodbye Peak. There may be several versions, one bundled with FCP. John Locke June 10th, 2003, 11:52 PM I'm having an awful hard time keeping my hand from clicking the "Buy Now" link for 10.2 at Amazon. How much longer before 10.3 is out? Jeff Price June 11th, 2003, 08:39 AM September (at least) on 10.3 :( First real word on how great 10.3 may be will come on June 23rd when it is demonstrated at the Apple WorldWide Developer's Conference (WWDC). Maybe a better question might be does anyone remember how much or little grace Apple gives on the software purchase to qualify for a free/reduced price upgrade? With FCP4 I think it started once it was officially announced. I certainly wouldn't buy 10.2 until after June 23rd just to see if the same sort of deal holds for 10.3. Then again you could always buy 10.2 for your old machine now. Then when the new G5s come out, they will come with 10.3 ;-) Edwin Quan June 11th, 2003, 10:43 AM <<<-- Originally posted by Jeff Donald : Apple should have it's own audio editing program to complement FCP.
