On the HC1 I used to have, there was a separate still photo mode, with its own settings etc. It was also possible to take stills while recording to tape, but that was a bit limited in terms of settings, flash use etc. Since I read the V1 also has the still photo to the MS card function, how does it work compared to the HC1 (or any consumer-type camcorder, for that matter)? Is it just the latter of the two modes mentioned earlier?
And, for comparison, how does it work on the Canon XH series?
Thanks,
Piotr
