Okay, I have made the upgrade to DV with a Gl2 a firestore and some way cool accessories, now I see how to get dv onto hd and firestore...but wait there's more. Can I get any advice on a good capture card and Premiere 6.5 bundle. Looking for real time and stability, of course. Price range isn't as important as easy install and quick set up.
Currently running Premiere 5.1c with Pinnacle DC30Pro (pci slot). I installed that one into my Dell Dimension 1.7ghz P4, 512 mb rambus Windows ME system.
Because the computer is full, I would need to take out the DC30 and uninstall Premiere 5.1 and replace with my upgrade. What do you think, can I really get this system going again with a new card like a Canopus, without too much hassle - or do I start over with a Kahuna Little Sister or something to build around a card?
And while were at it, does anyone know if the Canopus DV storm 2 works well, can I still import, edit and export analog NTSC to and from VHS and SVHS without rendering (don't want to get trapped having to render when not using DV format) AND does that break out box with the canopus that goes in one of the front drive bays use any hook ups from the bay (power, etc.) I have a hard drive sitting in one of the bays - could I simply put the breakout box in there too (in front of the hard drive). Does it work on winME?
Sorry for the length and thanks in advance for your help.
