Man I am so excited. I placed my order for this camcorder and can't wait for it to get here.
I also used one of the sponsors, TapeWorksTexas, and was very pleased with their customer service.
Thanks Scott

Yeah Im pretty much hanging to get my hands on mine also... I ordered at the start of September here in Tokyo so I am at the head of the list (so i have been promised). Also got a beta deal on the M2 HD 35mm adapter, which is cool. Cant wait to use them together.
Time for another trip to MAP camera in Shinjuku for another used FD lens. Still looking for a high quality 24mm, hard to get below about $500USD.

Noel, so Redrock already has a setup available to fit the A1?

No, but basically have gone with what we think will work. But good thing is we will get it sorted and report requirements back to Brian and I assume from there the set up needs will be posted.

I don't see any reason it shouldn't work. Almost all fixed lenses focus close enough.
By the way, I read one post somewhere on here saying the lens was 82mm thread size in the UK, but I also thought it was listed as 72mm someplace. Anybody know how big it really is?

72mm, should be same everywhere.

The wide-angle lens probarbly takes 82mm filters (so the normal lens is 72mm).

That could be.
