There was sad news today, as the death of Corporal Chase Haag, from Portland, Oregon, was reported in Iraq. He was 22 and during high school in Portland, he was an outstanding student of media and produced a monthly video news magazine for students. You can read how highly-regarded he was by his fellow students and teachers here:

It sounds to me like he contributed a lot to the art of video and to the others around him, though his time was short.
