Hi,

I searched the forum for where to place this post. Forgive me if it's in the wrong spot.

I have the JVC GY-HD100UA and interested in providing stock footage. I'm beginning to build the Mini-DV library with the JVC and have numerous Hi-8 video footage from Guatemala and misc.

Is there anyone here that can give me some guidance as to the best way to market my footage? It takes time to weed through to the good guys that really pay for footage as opposed to getting mixed up with the ones that may not be for real.

If someone can provide some insight into this side of the business, I'd like to hear from you.

Best Regards,
Lisa

One thing I can suggest is look for people in various forums asking where to find stock footage. You could solicit to those people right off the bat.

Hi Marco,

That sounds like a good idea. I have been searching the internet for places. I'll check out some of the forums and see what I can come across.

Best,
Lisa

there's some off-topic discussion about this very topic on this thread:

you should ask those guys using these services more direct questions, i'm sure they'd be happy to help you.

Hi Meryem,

I went to the link you provided and it was very helpful. Once I get my editing system upgraded for HD, I have a potential avenue to place some footage. Thanks a bunch for the link.

Until the upgrade is completed, I am also looking for places to sell my standard footage shot with JVC GY-HD100U. If anyone has some avenues or info, please pass it along to me.

Best,
Lisa
