Hi
I am in Amsterdam Holland and am wanting to purchase the Adobe premiere (2)Production suite, I attended The IBC in Amsterdam and recieved a trial copy. The Copy seems to be mostly NTSC I need PAL and there is no link for my camera I need to know if Premiere pro 2 can support this camera (HVR-A1E PAL Its HDV with a single CMOS chip) and import HDV. straight to computer, any hints or tips? are there other plugins neccessary for this ? or can I import, edit, and output HDV. Anyone else with this bundle that can share anything ??
thanks people

Premiere Pro 2 natively supports HDV, so you should not have any problems connecting your HDV camera. I'm sure there are many people who have your camera and use it with PP2, hopefully some one will chime in.

The demo does not support HDV, I think this is due to some licensing issue.

Thanks,

Thanks Ed
Adobe supplied me the 30 day trail at the IBC in Amsterdam, It will not load and doesnt support the camera, The person at the Adobe help desk will not give assistance or answer questions unless I buy the full version catch 22 I cant evaluate the software in the view to buy it...wallys..anyway good to know that in the full version it will ?? support the HVR-A1E pal. If you are running the system are there any cineform plug ins neccessary as I will probably upgrade to 2 if I dont have to purchase other software and can run HDV imports successfully on my system

I have a different camera (JVC HD 100U), but I do have PP2.0. I upgraded from PP1.5.

I have captured from my camera without the cineform plug in. There are built in settings for 1080i, 720p30. When I do this, I get the files as mpeg2 (.m2t extension).

Perhaps you can download a demo version from the Adobe website? I don't think it comes in Pal v. ntsc versions. You create a new project, and should be prompted to make the settings PAL or NTSC.

Premiere Pro trials/demos do not suppoirt MPEG video due to licensing as stated above. Get the full copy and try again. There is a 30 day money back guarantee.
