Boyd took the majority of pics (I was too busy fiddling around). But, the V1U and HVR-DR60 next to the Coke can gives you an idea of their size. Also the LED light was another very cool accessory.

Michael, thanks for great photos! I've a question regarding the three buttons at the back of the V1: gain, shutter and wb. How do you use them - do they cycle through values, or open the menu with the relevant submenu straight on so that you can make further selections, or what?
Also, at the lower left side of the camera, there're two buttons: expanded focus and focus. Does the expanded focus switch off automatically like with the HC1/A1, or do you have to press this button again to switch it off? And does the 'focus' button function as push-auto-focus?
Thanks in advance
Piotr
PS. OOps - just noticed the Push Auto Focus elsewhere; what is the Focus button mentioned above for?

I think the gain, shutter and WB buttons have the exact same function as the buttons on the Z1/FX1. They switch each of those things between auto and manual each time they are pressed.
The expanded focus button on the front is like the Z1's expanded focus button on the right rear, it enlarges the image in the viewfinder to help with focusing. I believe the focus button has the same function as the sliding switch on the Z1, switching between autofocus and manual.

It works just like the Z1....
Press the shutterbutton, the select/execute roller is used to shift shutter values.
Press the Gain button, the select/execute roller is used to shift Gain values
Press the White balance button, you focus on your whitebalance object/color, and press again to set the value.
